Construction Law

We have provided a broad spectrum of services to contractors, subcontractors, and trade suppliers for nearly thirty years, and are familiar with the unique problems that arise in the construction business. Kohn Rath Danon & ., works with builders, suppliers of materials and services, and owners on a wide variety of issues including:

  • Assistance with forming new businesses, including helping clients to select an appropriate business entity.
  • Preparing construction contracts.
  • On-going legal issues, such as interpreting contract provisions and dealing with problems which arise during the course of a project.
  • Contractual disputes. We have litigated and resolved construction disputes ranging from the most complex multi-party defective construction and material cases to contractor-owner disputes on residential renovations.

We believe that it is often in clients’ best in interest to avoid litigation, and frequently work with our clients client to explore alternatives to litigation which will achieve client goals faster and less expensively than litigation in the state or federal court system. For example, we regularly successfully resolve disputes thru mediation and arbitration. However, we also believe in litigating aggressively when such alternatives are not desirable or possible.
